Photographer Debrah Novak talks about Yuraygir National Park:

“Blue skies, aqua waves and golden sands stretch as far as the eye can see.

It is not human traffic but tall craggy headlands that break this glorious view interspersed only by ancient flora, rock shelves and the occasional wildlife.

This 65 kilometre section of Clarence Valley coastline lies within the Yuraygir National Park and we are privileged to share the stewardship of this unique region with our Yaegl and Gumbaynggirr custodians.

This region is the longest stretch of protected coastline in NSW, stretching from Angourie to Red Rock, and features the Yuraygir Coastal Walk, a designated trail taking four days to walk.

Contributing to this crowning glory, the Clarence Valley also hosts NSW’s top three pristine rivers, the Sandon, Wooli and the Esk, two of which run through the Yuraygir.

Last week I had the opportunity to do the walk and it is a nature lovers’ and photographers’ dream.

It’s easy to get caught up in the expansive views and rolling waves of the beach but when you look closely there is another world also waiting to be explored and discovered.”
