On Friday 24 January 2014, you and your children can join a free Family Fun Day at Diggers Camp and Wilsons Headland – two scenic spots located between Wooli and Minnie Water on the Clarence Coast.
First, there’s a fun exploration of the rock platform and pools at Diggers Camp.
A knowledgeable Solitary Islands Marine Park Education Officer will lead the way, point out unique plants and animals such as sea stars, sea urchins, anemones and sea cucumbers, and answer everyone’s questions.
The ramble over the rock platform is followed by a free barbecue lunch for all participants.
After lunch, there will be a guided 2-km walk at nearby Wilsons Headland with a National Parks and Wildlife Ranger. Along the Wilsons Headland Walk you’re likely to see interesting birds, trees and flowers, while the headland has several lookout platforms offering magnificent beach and ocean views.
What a great way to spend one of the last days of the summer holidays with your kids in our beautiful natural environment.
